We had a Nintendo Direct happen this week, but it wasn't your normal Nintendo Direct, it was a Partner Showcase, which go over Third-Party games that are coming soon, I didn't check it out as I am not a fan of Third-Party games, and I don't ever watch Partner Showcases, but what I was not expecting to be announced in the Partner Showscase was that they would add new games to Nintendo Switch Online.
Two NES games, two SNES games, and one Nintendo 64 game, for NES, we got RC Pro-AM and Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, for SNES we get Killer Instinct and Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, and for Nintendo 64, we get Blast Corps, and what all five of these games have in common is that they were developed by Rare.
The game that I play for this video is Blast Corps on Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online. This game was released in 1997 and is the first game developed by Rare to be released on the Nintendo 64, this was before Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie, GoldenEye 007, and Donkey Kong 64, but at least we get another Rare game added to Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online, and this must be the fourth Rare game we got, the last one we got was Jet Force Gemini, and before then, we had Banjo-Kazooie and GoldenEye 007.
To explain about Blast Corps, you control vehicles to destroy buildings and other structures while making way for a nuclear missile carrier, and there are 8 different types of vehicles, and each one has different ways in clearing out structures, like shooting missiles, crashing down from high ground, and drifting, and there are 57 different levels in the game.
Blast Corps has been re-released in 2015 for the Rare Replay on XBox One, which has a series of many Rare titles like Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Battletoads, and Killer Instinct. We got one more Rare title in Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online, as most of the games made by Rare were some of the best Nintendo 64 games to most fans from back in the day.
