5-6 manages to crush my hopes and dreams once again. It's entirely my fault though but I could've sworn I saved there. At least the second worst room in the game is out of the way, thanks to an easy skip.

I actually found out you could do that one puzzle with the Extending Arm. If you don't hold the dash button, your energy recharges quicker. It's an incredibly obvious aspect of Nitroid but holding the dash button is completely second nature that you often don't even realize you've got it held sometimes.

If I hadn't realized that I was unintentionally keeping it held, that puzzle didn't seem to be possible since I can no longer swap between the Hyper Dashoes and Earthkeeper Suit easily due to the Wall-Walk Shoes being in between them.

It's pretty shocking how quickly the extra stage goes when you know what you're doing for the most part.
