Well we finished all of the dungeons, and we have just one more place to go, so let's all head up to Devil's Peak and take down Odio once and for all!

Yes we can! ...after we've done something a little cowardly first. What if I DON'T want to fight him and just turn back? If you meet with Odio, then turn back when he appears, you get teleported back to the very beginning of the world.
Here also you find your last opponent. Headplucker.

"WHAT IS HE, SOME KIND OF GHOST KNIGHT?"
Try ghost knight with the highest fucking defence in the entire game next to Odio and Amlucretia. Headplucker is a monster, which is putting it rather lightly.
The problem here is his Wesan Blade, which fucking kills low-health characters like Sundown. I got really scared here by losing my strongest attacker.

Thankfully I had the good sense to keep Oboro with me, because his Shadow Mirror was actually very useful for taking down this guy's health bit by bit.
There is however one odd tactic you can use, by getting a high-HP character to be the sponge for damage, and everytime he uses Wesan Blade, he weakens his own stats.
After a while he becomes much easier to take down but holy fuck did this scare me.

Slaying him earns us the Ariel Boots. We now have the entire set to split among the party and save us from the ever-dreadful Petrification status.
