No Man's Sky was developed by Hello Games. It's a space exploration, action-adventure survival game that's been subject to obscene amounts of hype. However, despite all the hype, I had no idea what to expect gameplay-wise. Here are my initial impressions of my first few hours with the game, along with some gameplay footage.

Hello Games has said there's a huge Day Zero patch that will be applied at release so anything you see here could be changed. You can find the notes here: http://www.no-mans-sky.com/2016/08/update-1-03/

Update: I've since replayed the first few hours of the game after patch 1.03 and at this point in game, there has been no noticeable differences. I think this video captures the first hours of gameplay accurately.
