It's strange.

The idea of staying up to record this is a daunting one, but I don't want to put it down when I actually start playing again. I've felt that way about MGS on the whole for years; this series is an investment.

Kojima is like a stock broker. He throws buzz words around like "Tactical Espionage Action" and "anti freezing peptides" to woo you, promising that you won't regret dipping your digits into what he's peddling, and wraps up the package with a familiar, comforting brand--A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME. By that point, the seed has been planted. All he has to do now is wait for you to finish your hemming and hawing, and finally give yourself over to his world of forty five minute cutscenes. No risk, no reward. Right?

Then you finally play it, and everything makes sense. This -was- a good idea. You're invested. Before you know it, six hours have gone by. The garbage is overflowing. You forgot to pick up the kids. The bills are piling up. The house is on fire. But, hey! No risk, no reward! Right?
