This benchmark takes a suite of games on PC vs. Google Stadia game streaming, then tests for latency by using direct input (mouse/keyboard) versus input to the router directly (Google Stadia controller), which is actually a brilliant idea to reduce latency, if it worked. Ultimately, though, a lot of latency issues are caused by server-side hardware or other links in the very long chain required to stream games, and so Stadia has an uphill battle to get things working. We think that game streaming will eventually become a future -- maybe not "the" future, but an important part of it -- and that more casual gamers may be able to benefit from such services. But we're not in the future, so we're benchmarking Stadia in 2020 to follow-up on our 2019 content.
