Nuclear Throne is a fun, simple shooting game. It may lack the complexity of other games in this genre (such as Enter The Gungeon), but that just means it’s easier to jump back in for quick play sessions without having to re-learn too much stuff.
It has some interesting mechanics such as 5 different ammo types that are shared across the various weapons, hidden stages that branch off from the main path, and some cool character abilities.
This video shows a quick 9 minute run, but the furthest I’ve gotten in this game is level 6-2. Including the hidden levels, that run took about 20 minutes to complete.
Also, level 2-1 doesn’t usually have that many rats so I’m not quite sure what happened there.
