Nanrait's Videos Game Music #373 - Eigo de Tabisuru: Little Charo - Mu 0109

From Eigo de Tabisuru: Little Charo (Nintendo DS, 2010)

-

This song sounds like it's very late at night and you should probably be asleep. It is quiet. It's just you with your thoughts, looking up at the moon. It's sad but beautiful in this peaceful space. That is how it sounds to me at least and I like it a lot, even if it makes me reflect on myself, leading to a bit of sadness. The song also reminds me of the music in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Anodyne, but mostly from the music in Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol. Some of those beeps have a very specific sound, and that lonely midnight feeling is also shared.

The game itself is about learning English with the little dog, Little Charo, who is lost in New York. I read that it is based off of an anime about this little pup. The game was developed by Jupiter, who I know as the people who made the Picross games which were a great help to me at a certain time.

I'm quite tired as I had a long journey. I listened to some music that took me back to a very specific time and place. It gave me that rare feeling of my heart stopping and a lump in my throat growing. It made me think about some important things in my life, in a good way.

Take care everyone.
