Nvidia GTX 980 Reference Card -- Noise and Temp
**Update: I made another video, this time using two decibel meters to get a better idea of how much sound this card puts out. http://youtu.be/o-fDgFYEmDs
**Original post below:
My set up with the GTX 980 reference card by Nvidia.
I'm using this card with an OEM computer, so everything is air cooled; nothing is exotic.
I cranked the fan to 100% and put the camera's microphone right up to it in a few places, which gives the worst case scenario for sound. In normal operation, the card does not sound anywhere near as loud as it does with a microphone put directly up to it.
But even in that worst case scenario, it's not "as bad" as I expected it to be.
I move the camera around a bit, and you should be able to get an idea of how the card sounds in a real world scenario. I also briefly go into my experience with operating temperature. Hopefully this video is of help.
