Object Viewer for Merge Cube Review - 3D Model Viewer, Importing & Sharing
39In this video, I reviewed an app called "Object Viewer for MERGE Cube" which is a 3D model viewer (for iOS and Android) that was designed to work with the Merge Cube accessory.
You can use Object Viewer for Merge Cube to view, import and view and share 3D models with other people using the miniverse.io portal.

In this video, I used vectary (an online 3d editing solution) to import and .svg file into vectary, converted it into one of the supported formats which are.SLT in my case.
Supported formats are: fbx, .obj, .stl, .dae, .blend, .gltf, .zip
One the 3d object file was uploaded to the server, I got a short unique code which I then used in the app itself to download and view the 3d object in the app augmented on my Merge Cube accessory.

This was definitely an interesting way to view 3d models in augmented reality. I also liked the ability to edit the location, rotation, and size of the model relative to the cube.

CORRECTION black cube facets are the default view in the viewer.
