OBS Tutorial| How to set up OBS for livestreams lag free 2021! Livestreaming simplified!
Today we are learning how to set up obs for live streams, this video is specifically about livestreams, there is a separate video if your interested for setting up recordings lags free also! We are able to utilize several tools to help get OBS dialed in for all situations, some games may require further adjusting playing on the maxed out settings but this setup should allow the best possible quality allowed by twitch. You can use these settings on all platforms not just twitch, if you intend to stream at a higher resolution than 1080p on youtube for example your bit rate will need to be increased however, twitch is capped at 1080p with a 6000 bit cap so just keep that in mind. You can do a test stream by sending a dummy signal to twitch servers using the website down below and it will help fine tune your setup recommending adjusting any slight details and you can always go back to the website and check how your streams are doing, in a 6 hour stream only 2 minutes had some unusual traffic which is fantastic! Your system should be consistent when it comes to games as it does with display capture so depending on which you use your frame rates my vary, however Do Not have a game capture and a display capture in the same scene as it messes with the architecture, we go more in depth on the previous OBS video for recordings.
