Oh my, I never thought I would become one of the hundreds of Reddit-reported casualties of broken Quest 2 Elite straps, but today's the day. RIP "Elite" strap.

This short clip is a warning to all current owners of the Oculus Quest 2 Elite Strap (without battery), as the connection at this point at the back is quite weak and fell apart as I was picking it up to put it on, just as you would normally.

There's also no way to re-affix the screw which came out, without breaking another part of the head strap... so this is going straight back to Oculus Support.


UPDATE (2020-11-15): Oculus Support are offering to replace the unit and I've heard from one of our FReality fans that they will replace without requiring return shipment; provided you share photo evidence. So, I'm going to do just that and see if a new one will last more than a month. *fingers crossed!*
