This is a gameplay video (with a cutscene thrown in for good measure) of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee on the original Xbox.

This game was originally scheduled to be released on the PS2, but due to the difficulty Oddworld Inhabitants had with early PS2 development, they switched the development over to the Xbox, and Munch was a launch game for the Xbox.

I think they really did a great job of bringing Oddworld into 3D. I still like the original games on the PS1 and PC the best, but Munch was still a great game, and probably my favorite Xbox launch game (and yes, I do know Halo was a launch game).

The game fleshed out the world very well, and has a great mixture of adventure, and puzzle elements. A lot of thought was put into this one. Munch did well as a launch game, but by the time Stranger's Wrath came out, the majority of Xbox gamers had very little care about Oddworld. SR was criminally overlooked by most of the Xbox gaming populace. It was also supposed to come out for the PS2 as well, but that never happened. Looking back, I think that Oddworld Inhabitants should have just toughed it out in PS2 development, because moving the series to Xbox exclusively was a bad financial move. It was, however, a good pick up for MS giving their yet untested console a popular franchise for the time.

Luckily, for those interested, Stranger's Wrath HD has been released for the PC and PS3. Munch looks to have an HD remake in the works too that is supposed to hit this month sometime according to Gamefaqs, but who really knows.
