The start of my next Playthrough. Odin Sphere has long been a personal favorite of mine I've played and beaten the original PS2 version and bought the remastered Leifthrasir version been playing this on and off over the years. So I decied to do my next playthrough of this. Now in case you're wondering about Aegis 13 Sentinels I'm gonna re-record and redo it completely. This shows the Title Screen as well give a preview of the 5 main characters.

Compared to the original Odin Sphere, Leifthrasir is all in all a completely different game. For one unlike before there is a definitive skill system now, in the original you could just use various magic skills shared by most of the characters. In this there are power skills, Skills which consume the POW gauge to perform special attacks. Magic Skills which consume phozons for elemental magic attacks. Support skills, and boosts both of which aid the characters passively in the game. Each character uses different elemental magic and their abilities differ greatly from each other.

Gwendolyn uses Ice magic to freeze her foes while her skills allow her to attack and move at the same time while freezing her foes gives her the ability to control the battlefield as she wants. Cornelius uses lightning elemental magic to stun his foes while he performs high speed power skills to move about the battlefield quickly. Mercedes uses nature magic to summon fairies and shoot powerful shots from her crossbow and dominate the field with sheer firepower. Oswald uses dark magic to both augment his strength as well as control the field using his berserk to deal powerful damage. Finally there is Velvet who uses fire magic and her chains to burn and bind her enemies dealing huge damage while attacking and moving at the same time.

But it's not just skills they have changed, their normal attacks have as well. For one they no longer need POW to do so save Mercedes. Also all but Mercedes has a powerful dash attack which is executed by holding square and the left or right direction. They all also can guard unlike before where only Cornelius and Gwendolyn could guard. They can also charge up their down attack for different effects. Finally they all have a traversal ability unlike the original where only Gwendolyn, Mercedes, and Velvet had one which is activated by holding X while they are airborn. But that's enough out of me enjoy the video.
