Jackals nipped at the decaying corpse of Assyria, and out of the ashes of empire rose an Iranic coalition dominated by the Medes. 50 years on, Cyrus II, King of Anshan, chafes under the rule of his Grandfather - Astyages, King of the Medes. In this series we will throw off the Median yoke and create the greatest state of this era: the Achaemenid Persian empire! May we live up to the name of Cyrus the Great, King of Kings!

Imperium Universalis is a total conversion mod for EUIV that moves the time period to antiquity, beginning in 559 BCE with the ascension of Cyrus the Great. The all new world map stretches from ancient China, to India, to the British Isles. A custom food and slave system breaths life into the era. You can replicate Alexander's subjugation of the east, the Roman Republic's rise to dominance in Italy, or the civil wars of Julius Caesar and Octavian. Or do as I do, and play as Persia! All this, and more, in Imperium Universalis.

We are not playing Iron Man.
