Oink! is a video game based on theBritish comic magazine Oink! and published in 1987 for the Amstrad CPC , Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum by British publisher CRL . It consists of three action sub-games that can be played in any order.

Uncle Pigg, an anthropomorphic pig and editor of the famous comic strip Oink!, must assemble the magazine's pages in order to get the next issue published in time. Mary Lighthouse, a decency activist (a parody of Mary Whitehouse ), is leading a campaign against Oink! and is trying to stop him. Three of the pages feature stories about Pete's Pimple , Rubbishman , and Tom Thug , corresponding to comic strips published by the real Oink! magazine ( Pete and his Pimple , Rubbish Man , and Tom Thug ), and each subgame is loosely based on one of them.

The total time available always counts down, in the main menu and during the subgames. If you lose all your lives in one of the subgames, you return to the menu with a time penalty.
You can also voluntarily exit each game whenever you want (pressing F1). In both cases, you can always restart each subgame from the level you arrived at. The only definitive defeat occurs when you run out of time.

The ending of this game allows you to "read" the completed issue before it goes to be published: 1:20:08

Many many many many thanks to minotaurus for completing this long game!
Here some notes he wrote:

The game can be finished without completing all 3 games 100%, you just need to find extra pages scattered around to complete the game.
The game starts on July 4th at midnight and the deadline to complete the magazine is set for midnight on July 7th.
Every time you lose all your lives in a mini game you will lose 3 hours.
I played it when I was little in its bootleg italian version called "IL REPORTER".
I loved Rubbishman Super Hero which in the italian version was called "BAMBA KID IL SUPER UOMO".

This video is part of the videogame endings database, whose goal is to catalogue and create the world's largest archive of videogame endings! (what an humble and not ambitious project :D)
