In the desolate waste of the Rutland hills, high atop the summit of Wolf's Head Knoll, stands the weathered and dilapidated mansion, Winward House. The hands of the clock in the dusty hallway stand at precisely nine o'clock, as an old woman comes slowly down the stairs, an oil lamp clutched in her gnarled hand, to answer the violent pounding on the outer door. It's a strange tale, of one pounding after another at the door, each visitor stranger than the last!
