Members of the Royal Military Police's oldest unit have exercised their right to march through the streets of a German town for the very last time.

It is more than 30 years since 101 Provost Company was granted the Freedom of Xanten on the River Rhine close to the Dutch border.

Now the Company, established in 1940, will disband next month and this year's Xanten parade marks its official farewell.
