On The Subject of "Diversity" in Gaming/Animation
0This video has less to do with Battlefield 5 or AngryJoe and his poor handling of the criticism thrown at him and more to do with diversity in general. Forcing it in or putting it as the forefront of a character's defining traits and personality does not equate to representation, but rather as shallow pandering. Games such as Mass Effect(1-3), Dragon Age Origins, and The Fallout series(If anyone has other examples, do share them) have diverse characters that fit in naturally and are not defined by gender, race, or sexual orientation; it is just a part of who they are while not being the entire focus of the character.
