Eine Stunde Gameplay von "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption", einem First Person Action Adventure entwickelt von den Retro Studios und veröffentlicht von Nintendo im Jahre 2007 (2008 in Japan) für die Nintendo Wii.
Im Spiel übernimmt man die Rolle der Kopfgeldjägerin Samus Aran, welche dieses Mal von der Galaktischen Föderation zusammen mit einigen weiteren Kopfgeldjägern damit beauftragt wird, den sogenannten Phazon-Virus von einigen quer durch die Galaxie verteilten Supercomputern zu terminieren. Auf ihrer Mission wird Samus jedoch selbst durch den Phazon-Virus korrumpiert und ist fortan auf der Suche nach den anderen, ebenfalls durch Phazon korrumpierten Kopfgeldjägern und einer möglichen Heilung für ihre Infektion.
Als der insgesamt siebte Teil in der Metroid-Reihe und der dritte in der "Prime"-Serie, welche mit dem ersten "Metroid Prime" auf dem GameCube die Serie erfolgreich in die dritte Dimension portierte bietet "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" viele Ähnlichkeiten zu den "Prime"-Vorgängern wie zum Beispiel der Umstand, dass man die berühmte Kopfgeldjägerin Samus Aran nun aus der Ich-Perspektive heraus spielt. Da "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" allerdings das erste "Metroid Prime"-Spiel auf der Wii war setzt das Spiel stark auf die Bewegungssteuerung der Wiimote, was mal mehr, mal weniger gut funktioniert. Alles in Allem jedoch gilt "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" als einer der besten Teile der "Metroid"-Reihe.

In the game the player dons the suit of the iconic bounty hunter Samus Aran once more, who this time among some other bounty hunters is tasked by the Galactic Federation to terminate the so called Phazon Virus from several super computers who are all spread across the galaxy. Though on her mission Samus is corrupted by the Phazon Virus herself and henceforth searching not only for the other, also by the Phazon Virus corrupted bounty hunters but also for a potential cure for her infection.
As the 7th installment in the MMetroid franchise and the third of the "Prime" series, which with its first installment on the GameCube successfully conveyed the series into the 3D space, "Metroid 3 Corruption" offers many similarities to its direct predecessors, as for example seeing everything and playing through the eyes of famous bounty hunter Samus Aran herself. But since "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" also marks the first "Metroid Prime" installment on the Wii it also heavily relies on the motion control capabilities of the Wiimote, which sometimes works better, sometimes worse. All in all though "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" is regarded as one of the all time highs of the "Metroid" franchise.
