Welcome to PC gameplay for Redout, the newest high octane racing experience for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive! You can purchase Redout on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Developed by Italian independent game studio 34BigThings, Redout is a futuristic, high-speed racer in the same vein as F-Zero and Wipeout. Play solo or race up to 11 other players online.
While the game doesn't bring many new concepts to the table, it's a well-executed entry in the genre, and ships with complete VR support for both the Oculus and the Vive. The VR is what really makes Redout worth experiencing, as the sense of speed is unlike anything I've seen from a VR game before. I noticed some occasional menu stutter on my DK2, but the racing itself is generally smooth as butter.
Redout features the standard assortment of racing game modes, plus a decent variety of unlockable tracks, vehicles, and powerups.
