I am playing an another obscure OpenBoR game. It's Bare Knuckle: The Next Generation, which was made by a Czech developer daniel99j, since the cutscene subtitles were written in Czech language. Let's give some opinions about it.
We have six playable characters: Axel, Blaze, Max, Skate (aka Sammy), Dr.Zan and Adam. The unlockable characters are: Victy (aka Roo) and Shiva. It's an OpenBoR game, where you can play as Max Thunder from Bare Knuckle 2 Beta. Adam Hunter is edited, but has some flaws. Even though, his sprites are based on the SoR2 Axel, the sprites are not finished. Also his jump height and distance is so low, that it's almost impossible to take a biker out of his bike. It annoys me a lot. I would understand, if Big Ben or Bongo had such jumping abilities, but to do it to Max and Adam?
The basic enemies such as Galsia or Donovan and their animations go faster than in most of the OpenBoR games. We can also see the enemies from the original Streets of Rage 1: Hakuyo, Y.Signal, Galsia and Nora.
A problem with the bosses is, that they are too weak. Even though a developer coded them himself, they seem to have too weak AI and too little of the health points. The ninjas seem to be dumb. They are pretending they are throwing the shuriken, but it seems none of them has such weapons.
A HUD is messed up. A frame of a timer is on the upper-left corner, even though it should be in the middle of the upper side. Because of that I cannot see the icons of the enemies that much.
The cutscenes go to fast, so I was able to read them only in the video previews.
The hitboxes are too long or too big.
This OpenBoR game is a bit mediocre, however I think people were too harsh giving it only 2/10 stars.
