(EXPAND DESCRIPTION FOR MY IMPRESSIONS OF THE GAME)

Release Date: 1994
Developer: Capstone Software
Publisher: Capstone Software
Game Type: First-Person Shooter

I don't know what capstone did with the Wolf3D engine, but it didn't improve things. Might be a dosbox emulation problem but playing with floor/ceiling textures is a psychedelic mess. The textures don't align and tend to move in a direction other than that of the character.

And I'm not sure why they call it operation body count. You are constantly killing small or larger rats. Tons of them. And more of them.

Wish they had put the gun much lower in the view screen as it tends to occupy the spot where enemies generally stand when they are up close to you.

Save your ammo as it's pretty easy to run out. And the default "shotgun" that has infinite ammo is rather slow on the recharge and seemingly does less damage than the uzi.

Overall rather poor perfomance with the floor/ceiling textures. And everythign looks rather like a blurry mess. Rather more engine limitation, but option for so much brown with brown enemies might not be the best way to keep the contrast of things in view obvious.

Also something worth pointing out. The game seems to love to put you in a dark / low light levels. Without any nuance in lighting it really ends up looking like you are playing with low brightness.
