Simulated with Sudden Strike 3. In Operation Gladio, stay-behind units are to resist the the combined Communist invasion. In this alternate history, the operation has to happen shortly after World War 2 ended, with Soviet and Yugoslav units taking the thin strip of Italian territory between Slovenia the Adriatic Sea. US Marine landings start in response whereas the British leave "stay behind" commando units to complete Operation Gladio. The Soviet attack may or may not be in response to "Operation Unthinkable", in which the Allies could have attacked the Soviet forces in Germany. In the event of the Allies attacking the Russians in 1945, Yugoslavia would have been on the Communist side and fierce fighting would have started in and around Trieste.

As shown, US forces are in desperate need of assistance. In the next video, we will see how the American Marines perform when the Gladio units disrupt Soviet reinforcements behind the lines.
