Welcome to part 1 of my Outlast 2 playthrough.
In this first episode Blake and Lynn Langermann, investigative journalists, are taking a helicopter tour above the Havasupai region in Arizona looking for traces of a community after police discovered a pregnant woman barefooted and hung under "impossible circumstances". The helicopter crashes and Blake needs to find his wife, soon discovering that there's more to this than he ever could have imagined...
Outlast II (Outlast 2) is a first person survival horror game by Red Barrels, after the success of both Outlast and it's DLC Outlast: Whistleblower. Set in the same universe as the previous games, in Outlast 2 you play as Blake Langermann, and investigative journalist and cameraman who works, together with his wife Lynn Langermann, for a news site. They are investigating the death of a pregnant Jane Doe who was found barefooted and strangled on the side of the road. While police rules it a suicide, it is obvious that the circumstances point to a murder. Only with no trace of any possible killer, Blake and Lynn are forced to investigate the region per helicopter for any trace of the origins of this Jane Doe. When the helicopter crashes and Blake finds the helicopter pilot gutted and crucified, it becomes apparent that he has to find his wife before it is too late.
