The coolest game of them all, on 60 FPS and on Saturn. What's better? The arcade is a brilliant coding machine made possible by the master Yu Suzuki and his team. It's 1987 highest grossing arcade, and one of the best videogame.
Suzuki ran around in Europe in a BMW 520, and it shows. The quality and the atmosphere of the graphic is staggering, and the gameplay experience is crisp. It's unlike many racing game, as it's more of a holiday escapade than a grand prix. And as much as refreshing.
You run across a fictional Europe (or whatever) in a Ferrari Testarossa Cabrio (which actually don't exists, at least that I know of, but here we need Vince Curvin).
The music by Hiroshi Kawaguchi is something out of this planet.
This game have many ports, but in my opinion the first being as much good as the arcade, not being downscaled somehow, is the Saturn one. Megadrive and PcEngine ones are quite good, but I'm not a fan of any pc port of the '90. They are nice, but nothing to write home about.
Recorded on Modded Saturn, 60hz + Pseudo Kai, with Retrotink2x and Avermedia Live Mini. Played on CRT with standard Sega Saturn Controller.
