Ova Magica: Part 1 Demo Playthrough
4Now a a playthrough of the Ova Magica demo where I play all 7 days! In the demo, I farm, fish, catch bugs, gather resources, and do several battles. I also complete several quests including the town introductions, joining the Adventurers' Club, and building a house and a barn.
I like the customization options at the beginning of the demo, and I hope the full game adds more than 4 skin tone options because 4 options are not enough representation. The blobs are adorable, and I like that you can choose between 3 blobs at the start. I also like the Pokemon inspiration, and the battle system is different, but it is not my favorite part of the demo. During one of the nights, there were shooting stars, and I fainted when collecting ores. The next day, actions consumed twice as much energy. I do not like this punishment because I felt like I wasted the day. I used up the energy and then went to bed because there really is no point in eating to regain energy when you lose energy twice as fast. I feel like the punishment for fainting could be starting the next day with less energy. That way the energy loss rate stays the same and you can eat to regain energy. I did like the Painted Eggs Festival and that there are festival items and eggs to buy. However, I would have loved to know who collected the most eggs! I am looking forward to seeing what other festivals there are though. I also like that I can see what some of the quests will be in the full game like going on an expedition in the blob world, becoming the Clover Cup Champion, and doing the Clover Town census. All in all, I enjoyed playing Ova Magica, and I can see it being a great game, and I like that progress in the demo will roll over to the full game!
