Overwatch: A Failure in Expanding a Universe
5,870When Overwatch was being teased in 2015 and 2016, it seemed like the beginning of a universe that was only going to keep expanding - and then it never happened. The TV show people wanted never materialized. The story stagnated. The universe of Overwatch didn't progress, and not only did the canon not move forward, but Blizzard failed to actually expand into more ambitious media projects that could've filled out their universe in a way that games like League of Legends, Danganronpa, or Cyberpunk (to name just a few) have.
So, in a perfect storm of over-caffeination and hyper-procrastination, I made a video about it. Enjoy! And also, if you haven't already, go listen to some K/DA - or at least go watch some of the reactions people have had to K/DA videos over the years, because they're inexplicably addicting.
