0This is just a comparison between the quality of the build-in captured engine in Overwatch versus recording your highlights with external software like ShadowPlay or OBS.
To me, I don't see any quality drop. However, do note that Overwatch uses the CPU to encode your highlight, this is critical especially if you are streaming using your CPU, rather than GPU encoding.
If you are streaming by freeing up the CPU (in OBS using Intel QuickSync or Nvidia Encoder), it shouldn't be a problem at all.
