Pac-Mania (Sega Genesis) - Zilog and Moto #198
24Back in episode 96, I reviewed the Master System version of Pac-Mania, which was interesting because I'd never played any version of the game before, and I'm not even sure if I've ever seen the arcade machine anywhere. It was an interesting experience, but the audio wasn't exactly the greatest, and the graphics had certainly taken a hit.
Enter the Genesis version. The Genesis version is the only 16-bit console version of the game, so if you want to get close to the arcade machine, without having to have an Atari ST or Amiga (i.e. you live in the United States), the Genesis version is the way to go. But just how close is it to the arcade game? And how much better of an experience does this version provide? Well, take a look to find out!
