Pacer is a Futuristic racer similar to Wipeout, but it controls a little different then the other games i played in this genre. See you can turn normally by pressing left and right, but this usually only slightly turn your hovering vehiclce. Pressing the left triggerbutton will activate a Airbrake on the left side, so you do a sharp left turn, but since it's a brake, it actually brakes you down. Same with the right trigger, just that it does it to the right side. Also different is, that the items you collect only come in 3 variations Ammo for your Weapon, Shield Up and Speed Boost (which acts more like a stationary boostpad). Speedboost and Shield is self-explanatory. Ammo for your Weapon not so much, since you can equip different types of weapons and tools, which you can freely choose. But you can also buy mutators or mods for that weapon with the credits you gain from winning those races. So you can start the race with a different type of setup, basically whats best for the type of race you do, or what you can handle.

There are different types of races. What i have seen so far is the usual race, elimination race (the last place gets destroyed in a time interval until only one remains) and destruction (you get points for destroying a opponment racer, most points after a timelimit wins).
