Overload is a Decent or Forsaken like First Person Shooter, where you also move up and down, so in 6 directions instead of the usual 4. You can also roll your ship left and right, which you need, to get the best angle. You can freely fly in any direction, means there is no gravity, there is no down, but i usually allign that way, to read the signs if there are any.

One thing i don't like about the game is that there is a upgrade system. You find these skillpoint up collectibles in each level, which can be used to spend them on passive stat boosts. But if you don't find them all in each level, i guess the game gets harder and harder. I didn't find a way to replay these old levels to claim the missing skillpoint powerups, so you probably can get to a point, where you simply can't go further. But this is only a fear i have, it might not happen, but since it's unknown i always have the feeling of missing something important and i honestly don't like that.
You can also get these points from XP, that you get from destroying enemies, so maybe there are skirmish missions to grind a little for such missing skillpoints.
