Pandigital Novel 6" Touchscreen eReader Review
The Pandigital Novel 6" eReader ($10 on clearance). Uses an alternative to the eInk technology that is used in the Amazon Kindle or the Barnes and Noble Nook SimpleTouch. Pandigital is a company that folded in 2012, so most retailers should have Pandigital items on sale or clearance. Warranties are no longer valid either. The Pandigital Novel eReader runs a flavor of Linux and supports a custom Barnes and Noble App, a music player, e-mail reader, and more. The text is rendered using Adobe technology in conjunction with a Linux OS, but purchasing and lending apps are done through the Barnes and Noble app. A Barnes and Noble account is required to purchase books on the device. The device can purchase, download and syncs Barnes and Noble books wirelessly.
