In this Shelfside Review, we (specifically Daniel) take a look at one of the prettiest board games we have ever encountered in Parks, featuring art from the 59 Parks Print Series and published by Keymaster games. Parks is a light-medium weight worker Euro placement tabletop game where players play as 2 hikers that are trekking around North America visiting its national parks, taking pictures and using canteens/gear along the way. After being blown away by a very favorable unboxing experience, Shelfside dives in to analyze Parks, to see if the hype from the conventions of 2019 is deserved. It's also worth mentioning that we have the Barnes and Noble Edition of this game, which according to Board Game Geek, is slightly larger and has different box art on the front and sides.

Featuring Yosemite, Big Bear, Yellowstone, and more, Parks's full sized tarot cards are sure to visually impress, but what about the gameplay? Does it compare to other light-medium weight games, like our favorite, Lords of Waterdeep (with the Skullport expansion)? Is the game light enough to be family friendly? For those into National Parks and the outdoors but unfamiliar with gaming, does it hold its own? Watch the review to find out!
