Part 7 - Importing Old Maps into Pavlov VR - (spawns, fix ladders, blueprint, and more)
In this particular video I lost 3hrs of footage, so I quickly go over what I had done to catch up (mostly lots of repetitive things like choosing where to place spawns etc)
In this video series I'm going over the complete process to import a N64 map (Treasure Trove Cove from Banjo Kazooie) into Pavlov VR via UE4.
Here is the map if you want to play it in Pavlov! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1440934839
Part 7 goes over:
00:00 showing fixed ladders on mountain
01:05 showing how to duplicate meshes (like the trees)
02:35 showing how I duplicated a spawn and moved it around
03:21 quick recap on nav link proxys
04:32 duplicating a box to make into a blueprint
07:48 creating blueprint to make the box bob/float in the water
12:54 testing the blueprint
13:48 fixing blueprint by adding getworldlocation
15:03 fixing blueprint by using the z values of where it should float
16:07 successful test
16:24 duplicating the blueprint for more boxes
16:48 testing duplicates and then seeing if can fix by getworldrotation
17:44 decide to just not have them rotated to make it simpler
18:43 duplicating the bomb mesh to where they exist in original map
20:57 duplicating the feather/jump pads
21:52 making the jump-pads use correct material
