This is a long video. The unedited version is nearly twice as long. Most of that cut-out length? Plant Man. Freaking PLANT MAN.
The boss fights in this game are...shaky. Mouser's is annoying for just how loud it is and how much risk of instant death you have, and it's one of the BETTER ones. Giant Snifit is loud and obnoxious and hard to figure out, Slash Man is tedious and unpredictable. But Plant Man might be one of the worst boss fights I've EVER seen. Sure, you can do some AI manipulation for phase 1, but after that? Pain. Agony. Frustration. It's better to go to the Metool stage first, because Plant Man does take extra damage from that weapon, but that might mislead you into thinking that this wasn't an awful fight at its core.
Also, this double-tap dash...I don't mind double-tap dashes inherently, even if it's really not the ideal way to do it. But it has to WORK.
