Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict – The Update That Changes EVERYTHING
Path of Exile 2’s biggest update yet has arrived with The Third Edict, bringing massive changes to the ARPG. Season 3 introduces Act Four’s nonlinear Kingsmarch islands, three interlude acts with 35 new zones and 24 bosses, and the long-awaited asynchronous trading system that finally fixes one of PoE’s oldest frustrations.
On top of that, we’re getting new defensive mechanics like Deflect, universal blockability, rebalanced accuracy, and huge class updates – from unarmed Monk builds to the Sorceress’ elemental infusions. Support gems have been completely redesigned with tiered scaling and powerful new lineage gems, while the passive skill tree gets over 150 new nodes to expand buildcrafting even further.
The first full PoE 2 league, Rise of the Abyssal, also arrives, unleashing underground horrors, Dark Domains, and desecrated crafting mods with some of the best loot yet.
Is this the update that finally makes Path of Exile 2 live up to the original? Let’s break it all down.
