In this demonstration, I apply basic sound synthesis to two sound files that are set in an Event pattern, in this case, in Pbindef. Included is a simple parabolic oscillator with an Envelope variable that ensures the proper release of synths from the audio server.
Special thanks to Eli Fieldsteel for his input on constructing a SynthDef that works efficiently. Before asking him, I had my amp argument scaled twice! Fortunately, its value was low, so the output was very quiet. But it brings to mind that we must be careful with how we're using arguments and variables, especially our multiple values!
