Payday 2 Playing in the Desync Beta Part 4
0For those that want to play loud heists in the Desync open beta, make sure you give the AI Henchmen the CAR-4 rifle. Otherwise, your game will crash. What's weird about this beta is that it uses the LuaJIT system. The LuaJIT system is a updated version of the Lua in the public version of the game and it was made to improve the game's performance(more FPS, less processing stutters, etc.). However, there is 1 problem. The BLT hook does not support the LuaJIT system. Instead of the player's game crashing, their BLT mods(and the hook itself) will be disabled until it gets updated. The guy that made the BLT has no plans to update for a very long time. If this update makes it way to the public version of the game, then the BLT mods are either dead or at a long hiatus. Overkill did manage to break(or disable) lua mods in the past, from the Blackmarket Update(Oct. 2015) to The Diamond Heist update(January 2015, updating the .exe file to disable HoxHUD). I am not surprise that Overkill is going to consequentially make a system that will break Lua mods because they have done that in the past(not as often then I would expect though). Keep in mind that the beta is far from finishing as more wacky bugs are being reported and more crashlogs being submitted. I wish Overkill made some more 3rd person animations. Some weapons still reuses the same 3rd person animations(hold the RPG like a assault rifle,hold the minigun like a assault rifle, hold a bullup shotgun like a assault rifle, etc.).
