Wow, this is something you really need to try guys, check out my Penumbra Overture VR Gameplay on the HTC Vive with full motion controller tracking, roomscale and 3D! Penumbra Overture is a fantastic survival horror game released many years ago, but recently it got a full VR-mod thanks to a coder on Github. Penumbra is a scary

Penumbra Overture VR MOD lets ju play the game in Virtual Reality on HTC Vive, with perfect stereoscopic 3D, full Vive motion controller tracking and roomscale. Penumbra Overture VR is probably the biggest survival horror game out and available in Virtual Reality so far - and its a full game with great storyline and many hours of gameplay! Graphics are great, gameplay is immersive and this survival horror game is scary as hell!

So, how do I play Penumbra Overture VR on my HTC Vive? Well, first off you need to buy the full non-VR game on Steam. At this moment its still on sale for only €1.99, but regular price is around €10, so hurry up and buy it before the sale runs out!

So here are the steps to enjoy Penumbra Overture in VR on HTC Vive:

1. NOTE: If you don't have the Visual Studio 2015 (x86 version) installed yet, please install it now from here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

2. Install Penumbra Overture VR (Penumbra Collectors Pack) on Steam

3. Download the latest Penumbra VR MOD available from the coders website:

4. Copy all the files from the ZIP file into your Penumbra: Overture "redist" directory.

5. Make sure SteamVR is running, and all controllers, lighthouses and Vive headset is green. Then double-click on "Penumbra_vr.exe".

6. To improve performance, look in the options menu under "VR Settings" and disable "render to monitor".

7. Enjoy Penumbra Overture VR on HTC Vive - a great looking survival horror game in Virtual Reality!
