Pepper II is Exidy's answer to Konami's Amidar, and also appeared on the Colecovision. By the way, there is no Pepper 1.
You draw lines around boxes to claim them. If you backtrack over drawn lines on an incomplete box, you'll erase them. Some boxes have items in them that give bonus points.
Taking the pitchfork turns you into a devil for a few seconds to attack the pursuing enemies. Each stage has 4 mazes. You switch mazes at the exits. Finishing a maze gives some bonus points, and there's a super bonus for clearing the whole stage.
Your character does move a little too fast, making the control a little slippery. Pepper II could use a brake button to help you navigate corners. At the start of a new life... GET AWAY from the exits! Lingering near one will probably get you insta-killed as the enemy spawns right on top of you.
