Our first battle against the game's main villains & enemy Persona users. It's hippie Jesus and his hooligan sidekick!

Having two enemies here means we're at a greater risk than usual. Even should we hide behind two layers of mirrors, Takaya can cancel out the mirror effect on one of the character after which that character is vulnerable to a spell from Jin. Honestly, this is not too bad, but casting Revolution for higher % crits is a bad idea because the bosses both attack with physicals too, even if occasionally.

The main problem is Takaya who's got Megido and a Mind Charge to power himself up. Even if the party has the def up buff, this has the potential to OHKO the MC, leading to a game over this way.

I do decide to take out Jin first, anyway. Jin has Maragion, which will be blocked if repelled with mirrors, so I have the MC cast Fire Break on Jin first just in case that's the first attack to land on us from Jin. There are other ways of dishing out strong damage against Jin - one is knocking him down with the MC (Jikokuten has Apt Pupil morphed) and then having the rest gang up on him, Ken's Cruel Attack doing by far the most damage with the knocked down bonus.

In this video, Akihiko paralyses Jin by accident, which lets Aigis knock him down without FeMC's help.

Technically, Takaya is as menacing as he is because of Jin and his Tarukaja +atk buff. If Takaya gets it and he previously powered himself up with Mind Charge, then the next Megido is a sure game over unless it misses (everyone does start out with all three buffs for the first three turns). But it doesn't have to be Megido all the time either - sometimes Takaya just casts a -dyne spell, which is reflected back at him. Inconsistent AI is so inconsistent.

As you can see at the start of the video, FeMC's attack is monstrous because I started having more free time at nights, so some of that free time went into arcade-training Jikokuten, the Persona with the highest strength at my levels (one of them anyway). A Vorpal Blade hits like a truck even without Best condition, and if it crits, then we get to use it once more on the same turn, hurting whoever chanced to get knocked down pretty badly.

Of course, FeMC's low level limits how much physical damage she deals, but I think that through optimisation and all kinds of LLG replacements for the usual high standards of offence a player can normally achieve in this game I've managed to show some almost equally broken alternatives.

So, the party owns Takaya and Jin, and in the next video we'll see how lucky they were against the last Arcana boss of the game.

Dude's doing the same challenge as me, except Orpheus only (!) and he's also killing off non-MC party members. Considering I'm still pretty sceptical about my own challenge being possible, this is about as brave as it gets, so show the guy some support. Soulgrunt has also completed a similar challenge in Persona 4 Golden (only using Izanagi + everyone at lowest possible levels, or maybe not since there's that one random chance Arcana that causes you to receive 1 exp at the end of the battle... still, really hardcore and shows all the broken and convenient additions introduced in P4 Golden and various manipulations of the game's mechanics, namely dodgehax). Soulgrunt's recordings have really good video quality and no lag or anything, so go check 'em out.

There's also a very good chance I'll be uploading Persona 4 LLG videos some time after I'm done with P3P LLG, possibly earlier if Avatar Nyx turns out to be impossible to requires such grinding that I'd be tempted to multi-task between several challenges just to entertain myself - we'll see what happens, we'll see. My P4 LLG will be in the original PS2 version, and will feature some crazy skill morphing abuse. I also plan to kill off non-MC party members after taking them to battle (so that the MC doesn't take 4x experience, which kinda makes the challenge not low-level enough), because there's honestly not a huge difference between, say, a lv. 4 Yosuke and a lv. 20 Yosuke - all are OHKO'd and best serve as primarily item bots.
