With one dude out of the party, for better or worse, we're back to Tartarus with two new Personas - Ken's and Akihiko's. Akihiko now nullifies electricity, which is a slight improvement I guess, but the most welcome change is that these two now have an automatic Endure effect, allowing them to survive one fatal attack with 1 HP remaining. This is handy in battles with Megido(-) spam among others, but the MC is still the only one who must be kept alive at all costs. For that, there is still the Spirit Bracers Titan produces after being milked of all skills and cards, and the Endure skill that can be morphed (Enduring Soul is not morphable, sadly, but they function rather similarly regardless).
The first set of Tartarus bosses is the 3 Hell Knights, and this is quite a tough battle for the low level party if done the straight-forward way. Ziodyne and Maziodyne spells will be spammed, often Mind Charge'd, and should you think it's safe to hide behind elec-resistant Personas, Elec Break will be a nasty surprise to ruin your day.
Magic Mirrors exist, but bounced back elec spells heal the knights, and if you're patient enough to morph an Elec Break of your own, you will find yourself running out of time casting it on every single knight while they're dominating your party and healing themselves.
...That's right, it's time for another Sexy Dance + Charm Boost strategy, which is a handy way of not having to deal with enemy attacks - they'll even contribute greatly to the damage inflicted seeing how bad we are at that, with our levels.
Just for "lulz", I show off how much damage an all-out-attack causes. What did you expect? The damage seems to be only high when the enemy is enraged, it seems (it was quite good against Fortune after getting Enrage on it, at least).
Then we face Mythical Gigas. This guy is alone, isn't affected by physicals besides strike ones, and he absorbs his own Maragidyne spells.
Luckily, he knows no almighty spells, so after hiding behind two layers of mirrors (one of each kind), we use Fire Break and then wait for the boss to succumb to his own agi magic whilst in def-down status. If Deathbound is used, he'll hurt himself a little bit (he resists it).
The important thing here is that the boss doesn't run out of Fire Break before casting his next Maragidyne, and this is somewhat difficult to control, especially if he's been hesitating to cast it previously and the magic mirror is still on.
As you can see, the non-MC/Aki party members are quite useless here. Good thing they're learning some more valuable skills... around next video I think?
Also notice between these two boss battles, I show my updated Personas. As you can see, I morphed all three multitarget Auto-Xkaja skills for the MC's starting Persona. This is not as big of a deal as you'd think, since they have to be reapplied after 3 turns and their immediate value in battle is also questionable for a party as low-levelled as mine, but when I bump into shadows when failing to run away when I farm for items repeatedly, it helps me dodge/withstand attacks more often.
Also check out my social link progress in-between the recordings!
