Phantasmagoria 2's Opening Poorly Upscaled Using AI
5I saw that rad FF7 fan remaster that used AI to upscale all the backgrounds. It looks great. I wondered how that process would work on a video... It doesn't work very well. To be fair, the program I used is explicitly for images. I've seen examples of videos being upscaled with different programs that are much more successful. Those programs aren't public yet though so I made this.
Programs used:
Topaz Gigapixel to upscale the raw frames of the video.
VLC to extract every frame of the raw video.
Virtualdub to combine the upscaled images back into an avi.
Adobe Premiere: to fix the speed and re-add the sound.
