Phantasy Star 2 codes - Forcing encounters with Mota biomonsters
I found this while messing around with the no random battles code. I thought that maybe it was possible to force specific encounters with it. I was kinda right. I had to fiddle with it a lot and many experiments brought me right back to the Sega splash screen. The codes I am using force a battle to occur every step. This is why I stay close to town. Upon leaving a town I guess it's counted as a step (or it triggers at screen transition) and a battle is forced that way too. There's probably a way to fix this issue as it's kind of annoying. Although handy for experimentation.
The first code is 0117DE:3426 and it will force encounters with weak biomonster formations (fire ant, poisoner, bee, mosquito). This will work on Mota post Climatrol. But it also works on Dezo, where I chose to show it off.
The second code is 0117DE:7426 and it forces a battle with some stronger biomonster groups (insecta, waspy, stinger, pug hit). It works the same way as the previous code.
I don't know what use this could serve. Maybe if you wanted to keep battles on but not run into anything that you didn't feel like dealing with at the time? It's amusing to see biomonsters from Mota on Dezo where they'd most likely end up freezing to death. I don't know how those flies and scorpions live there in Phantasy Star 4. They must have stowed away in Tyler's food stores and evolved hella fast. Pokemon from the Algo region!
