Turn Based Tactical Mech environment, with a good story and fun art style and voice acted to boot.
This is a 16 mins video that goes thru what the game does with a new player u have been notified now onto my notes on the game:
Phantom, I had a script and everything but no you have to read.
The video is a peak inside the first 10 min or so of the game
giving you the miniature player or old school war gamer what the game plays like.
Familiar mechanics will greet you plus a third mechanic - TIME.
This game plays in 5 second increment, your mechs can move a distance based upon the mech and it can shoot, so plot the move and when you shoot. This becomes your single minded objective make hay and get out alive with your team.
You are part of a bigger team, your nation has been attacked we don't know by who or why or even if we provoked the response so in that it may remind you of the opening of Ace Combat 7.
Imho the game does not lend itself to vid making the technical edits are tedious and many plus you have to get the camera just right when you play/ execute a turn so for now a gratuitous video remains elusive.
But the game play is spot on, you feel attached to your guys the cut scene animations fit the overall scenario and the game plays fine and is a great mech addition again in my opinion.
As for the ending if u stayed that long I did cheeze it and u are left unfulfilled :)
You will not get reved up you will not be a fan boy getting excited over a giant robot but if you are older and appreciate some fiction, appreciated the Gundam, Armored Core- sense of it all the game again will find u and u will find it.
It looks and runs fine and there u have it Phantom Brigade
