Some maintenance work on my main CRT monitor, a Philips CM8833-II which I use every day for my retro hardware. I'm discharging the tube, replacing the power switch and also recapping (at least the capacitor values I have) the main PCB.

I'm not a professional at all (especially considering CRT monitors) so I most likely make mistakes. CRTs are extremely dangerous to work on if you don't know what you are doing. Do everything you do at your own risk!

I found a service manual (too late for using it for me, but maybe useful for you): http://files.janbeta.net/philips_cm8833-ii_cm11342.pdf

The power switch I'm using is a PREH TV3 and available (among other places) from the good people at "The Future was 8-Bit": https://www.thefuturewas8bit.com/shop/commodore/commodore-spares/1084switch.html

The original power switch that was in there is a Preh ME5A. I didn't find it anywhere. If you find a source, please tell me. :)

Here's a list of the capacitors you need (some standard ones I just wrote down once but you really need larger quantities):

1uF 50V x3
1.5uF 63V
2.2uF 63V
4.7uF 25V 2x
4.7uF 200V
10uF 50V x4
10uF 160V
22uF 50V x9
47uF 16V x2
47uF 200V
100uF 16V x3
100uF 400V
220uF 35V x2
470uF 25V x2
470uF 50V
680uF 35V
1000uF 16V
4.7uF 50V bipolar (High current? Some other characteristics? See video...)
