I'm now playing Phobos, a four level wad, created by Roger Ritenour. I use GZDoom source port, with compatibility set to "strict", on UV difficulty. I'll be playing the levels continuously and going for all kills and secrets.

My thoughts on the level:
This one has a lot of dark areas, but I don't actually mind. I like the suspense/tension of those areas and it looks really good with dynamic lights. The yellow key area, with that tower, is a little buggy, but nothing too obnoxious.

Conclusion:
I really liked Phobos. The gameplay is not as bad as Doomworld or some of the reviews in the download page would have you believe. It has a nice enemy variety and the randomness created by the monster teleporters adds a nice bit of tension, cause you never know what you will encounter. They just needed to be a bit more optimized, so the enemies can teleport quicker. The visuals are obviously the best part, really good for its time and very immersive. It's not very challenging, but not every wad needs to be. This one is meant to be a more relaxing experience, more exploration focused.
