I'm now playing Hell Revealed, created by Yonatan Donner and Haggay Niv in 1997. I use GZDoom source port, with compatibility set to "strict", on UV difficulty. I'll be playing the levels continuously and going for all kills and secrets (except for this level and map 32).

My thoughts on the level:
Okay, this map might be just as hard as map 26, albeit for completely different reasons. This one is really short, but it's so unpredictable, it took me dozens and dozens of attempts, I have no idea how many. I'm just very bad at shooting on that tiny effing hole on the Icon's brain. It made me question if I would be able to it at some point and got demotivated. Luckly, yesterday, I set down, concentrated, I finally got it. But no 100% kills on this one, it's just not worth it for me.

Conclusion:
My god, I never thought I would enjoy Hell Revealed as much as I have. I doubted I would have the skill to beat each level without saves, even with the help of playing the levels continuously. And I did it. I'm a bit proud of myself, I must say.

Sure, HR is a bit rough around the edges, it's not perfect by any measure. The biggest problem is that it's poorly balanced for pistol start, hence people's complaints about the excess of barons (and other high HP monsters). But by playing continuously, it pretty much fixed that problem. I really enjoyed almost all of the levels. And each of them felt very satisfying to complete. HR went down as one of my favorites, despite it's lowest points (map 30 being one of them for me).

And that's another wad beaten. I will have to slow down with the uploads, since now I have work, as well as other projects, but I'm enjoying this too much to quit now. But hey, it's not like I have an audience to complain, it's mostly for myself, really.
