In this part, the second part of day two of the trial begins on the sad note that Ema never returned to the courtroom after running away.

Jake Marshall gives testimony, saying that he was nowhere near the evidence room on the day of the murder. This causes Phoenix to pull out the big guns right at the start by revealing that Marshall's blood-covered handprint was found on a locker.

Officer Marshall gives another testimony, saying the blood-stained handprint is just a coincidence; the handprint is there because the locker in question belongs to Marshall, and besides, the murderer was wearing gloves.

Marshall ends by foolishly goading Phoenix into reviewing the videotape; Phoenix reviews the tape and finds proof that Marshall was in the room at the time of the crime.
